We have used Lucy Woodward for music lessons for about three years. Our three daughters have had an excellent experience. We have had a variety of teachers in the almost ten years that our children have been involved in music. Lucy has been by far our favorite. She teaches violin to our thirteen-year-old and six-year-old and piano to our ten-year-old. Lucy is patient and very positive with them and seems to have a nice way of challenging them as they each have very different learning styles and personalities. My wife and I would recommend her to anyone looking to start their child in music or for more experienced young musicians looking to further their craft.

Lucy Woodward is a blessing to our family by teaching violin to our third and first grade daughters. Lucy is so gifted as an accomplished, professional musician and also as an outstanding teacher. She challenges our girls while making learning happen in a nonthreatening, fun environment. She understands children and is patient in their progress. We love the biannual recitals because our children love having a performance to work towards and showcase their newfound musical skills. We are fortunate to have a teacher like Lucy here in Birmingham all the way from New Zealand!
